Acron will invest 40 billion rubles in a potash enterprise
In the construction of a potash enterprise in the Talitsky area of the Verkhnekamskoye potassium and magnesium salts deposit in the Perm region, it intends to invest up to forty billion rubles of Acron OJSC. This was reported in the press release of the company.
It clarifies that the auction for the construction of the enterprise at this site was won by a subsidiary company Akrona LLC Verkhnekamsk Potash Company (“VPC”), paying for the license 16.802 billion rubles.
Acron’s Vice President, Alexander Popov, clarified that although the cost was not small, the company was ready to pay for access to a new, highly profitable market.
WCC plans to begin construction later in 2009 and to commission the first stage of the enterprise no later than 2013.
Acron has three agrochemical enterprises located in Russia and a joint-stock company in China. The company produces over 40 chemical products.
