How to cook sun dried tomatoes for winter

Sun-dried tomatoes are considered a delicacy: they are very tasty, but there is an opinion that it is extremely difficult to prepare them. However, the recipe described below will dispel this myth. So, for the preparation of dried tomatoes, the following products will be required:

  • 1.5 kg of tomatoes;
  • 5 g of sugar;
  • 50 ml of olive oil;
  • 6 cloves of garlic;
  • Dried oregano, basil, parsley, salt - to taste.

Wash the tomatoes, cut them into 2 halves andplace in a baking dish cut up. Sprinkle on top with dry greens, salt and bake in the oven for 6 hours at a temperature of 180 degrees. Grind the garlic. Pour a little olive oil into a clean jar, add the garlic. Fill the pot with 1/3 tomato and pour oil again and sprinkle abundantly with spices. Lay some more tomatoes on top, sprinkle with spices and pour oil. After this, lightly tighten and seal tight. Turn the cans upside down and cover with a towel. Store in a cool, dark place.

How to cook green tomatoes for the winter

Many people like green tomatoes, but they can also be harvested for the winter. This will require the following components:

  • 2.5 kg of unripe tomatoes;
  • 1 head of garlic;
  • 5 pieces of sweet Bulgarian pepper;
  • 4 pods of bitter pepper;
  • 1 bunch of parsley.

For marinade:

  • 1 liter of water;
  • 40 g of sugar;
  • 125 ml 9% vinegar
  • 20 g of salt.

Wash the tomatoes, cut them into two pieces andput in the container. Twist garlic, sweet and bitter peppers through a meat grinder. Finely chop the parsley. All these ingredients are sent to the tomatoes, mix well and put into clean jars.

Now you can start cooking marinade. Take the pan, pour water into it, add sugar and salt. Boil, add the vinegar. Pour the marinade tomatoes, put the jars in a large pot of water. Sterilize for 15 minutes, then roll up the jars with covers. Bon Appetit!
